Rules and Regulations

  1. Effective Date: June 4, 2025
    To maintain the professionalism, safety, and excellence that define Marcia’s Looks Salon, all team members are required to comply with the following rules and regulations.


    Punctuality & Scheduling

    • Timeliness
      Staff must arrive on time for all shifts and client appointments. A 15-minute grace period is allowed, but repeated tardiness may result in disciplinary action.

    • Breaks
      Breaks must be scheduled around client appointments and should not interfere with service delivery.

    • Schedule Flexibility
      Team members must remain adaptable to changes in scheduling based on client demand and salon operations.


    👗 Professional Appearance & Conduct

    • Dress Code
      Staff must present a professional appearance, including well-groomed hair, appropriate makeup, and attire that reflects the salon’s luxury standards.

    • Code of Conduct
      Respectful, positive behavior is expected at all times. Harassment, gossip, or inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated.

    • Social Media
      Staff may post salon-related content freely. If the salon uses your content, proper credit will be given.

    • Non-Compete
      While employed at Marcia’s Looks, associates may not promote or work with competing salons or products.


    💼 Client Experience & Service Standards

    • Consultations
      Every new client is entitled to a complimentary 30-minute consultation (valued at $100).

    • Client Retention
      All team members are expected to provide an exceptional experience to encourage return visits and long-term relationships.

    • Client Confidentiality
      Sharing client information without consent is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action.

    • Complimentary Perks
      Staff must ensure that complimentary drinks and snacks are presented cleanly and professionally to enhance the client experience.


    💳 Deposits, Pricing & Refunds

    • Appointment Deposits

      • $25 deposit for regular services

      • 50% deposit required for services over $300 or lasting more than three hours
        All deposits are non-refundable and required to secure appointments.

    • Pricing Integrity
      Staff must honor official service pricing. Discounts may only be applied per approved salon discount policies.

    • Refunds
      Refunds will only be granted if services were not delivered as agreed and must be reviewed and approved by management.


    📋 Operations & Procedures

    • Booking System
      All staff must use the official salon software to manage appointments and availability in real-time.

    • Workstation Cleanliness
      Stylists are responsible for keeping their area clean and sanitized, including sweeping after every service and disinfecting tools.

    • Personal Property
      Staff are responsible for securing their personal belongings in assigned lockers, which should be locked during working hours.

    • Alcohol Policy
      Clients may receive a maximum of two alcoholic beverages per visit. Staff members are strictly prohibited from consuming alcohol while on duty.


    📚 Education & Compliance

    • License Requirements
      All licensed professionals must maintain valid credentials and display them visibly while working.

    • Training Attendance

      • Assistants: Must attend at least three classes during their 6-month program

      • Stylists/Master Stylists: Must complete required advanced training as assigned

    • Safety Standards
      All staff must follow safety and sanitation protocols, including the use of gloves, masks, and disinfectants as needed.

    • Retail & Extensions Sales
      All associates must follow salon protocols when recommending or selling Marcia’s Looks Hair Extensions and retail products.

    • Employee Discounts
      Staff are eligible for service discounts, but usage must follow the internal employee discount policy.


    🔐 Security & Termination

    • Confidentiality Agreements
      All employees must sign and adhere to confidentiality agreements as part of their employment.

    • Termination Policy
      Repeated policy violations, failure to meet performance standards, or misconduct may result in termination of employment.
