On September 8, 2026, the Marcia’s Looks team walked into the Orlando’s Best Awards Ceremony as finalists for Best Beauty Salon. By the end of the night, we were bringing home something that represented nearly two years of hard work, growth, challenges, creativity, and an incredible amount of support from our clients:

Marcia’s Looks was named the 2026 Silver Winner for Best Beauty Salon in the Orlando metropolitan area.

For us, this award is much more than a certificate hanging on the wall.

It is part of our story.

From Opening Our Doors to Orlando’s Best

Marcia’s Looks Salon officially opened its Downtown Orlando location on November 24, 2024.

We didn’t start as an established Orlando salon with decades of local reviews behind us. We were building a new home, a new team, a new clientele, and a different vision for what a beauty salon in Downtown Orlando could be.

Our goal was never simply to offer hair appointments.

We wanted to create a beauty destination where clients could find advanced hair extension services, professional color, curly hair services, styling, beauty treatments, education, and personalized attention—all under one roof.

And we wanted the experience to feel different from the moment someone walked through our doors.

Building Marcia’s Looks in Downtown Orlando

In less than two years, Marcia’s Looks grew into a 3,604-square-foot beauty salon in Downtown Orlando with 12 styling stations, four shampoo bowls, a private spa room, a stage for professional education and events, and a podcast/content studio.

But the size of the salon isn’t what we’re most proud of.

It’s what has happened inside of it.

We’ve watched clients arrive nervous about their hair and leave smiling. We’ve completed major color transformations, helped women discover hair extensions for the first time, worked with different textures and hair densities, educated future professionals, welcomed new stylists to our team, and continued developing our own methods and standards.

Every appointment helped build the reputation that eventually brought us to Orlando’s Best.

Becoming Known for Hair Extensions in Orlando

Hair extensions have become one of the signatures of Marcia’s Looks.

Rather than offering only one extension technique, our salon specializes in multiple professional methods, including K-Tip extensions, Tape-Ins, I-Tips, Weft extensions, V-Light extensions and Clip-Ins.

We also built an extensive in-salon extension inventory with dozens of colors, multiple lengths and textures so that many clients can receive customized matching and, when appropriate, same-day transformations.

Our philosophy has always been that extensions shouldn’t simply make hair longer.

The color match matters. The density matters. The placement matters. The method matters.

Most importantly, the client’s natural hair matters.

That attention to detail became an important part of the Marcia’s Looks identity and helped establish us as a destination for clients searching for Hair Extensions in Orlando.

More Than Hair Extensions

Although extensions are one of our specialties, Marcia’s Looks was created as a complete beauty destination.

Our team has grown to offer professional hair color, balayage, blonding, color corrections, curly hair services, haircuts, blowouts, styling, smoothing treatments and additional beauty and spa services.

Our team is also multicultural and multilingual, allowing us to welcome a diverse Orlando community in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, and Arabic.

Different backgrounds. Different specialties. Different personalities.

One team.

Then Came Orlando’s Best 2026

In 2026, something exciting happened.

Marcia’s Looks was nominated for Orlando’s Best Beauty Salon.

For a business still approaching its second anniversary, simply becoming a finalist was already meaningful.

We were competing alongside salons that had been serving their communities longer than we had.

Our clients showed up for us.

They voted. They shared our posts. They recommended us. They left reviews. They sent messages of support.

And eventually, we received the news:

Marcia’s Looks was officially an Orlando’s Best 2026 finalist.

Suddenly, the journey that started when we opened our doors in November 2024 was taking us to the Orlando’s Best red carpet.

September 8, 2026 — Awards Night

The awards ceremony wasn’t something we wanted to experience alone.

Our team dressed up, stepped away from the salon chairs for the evening, and attended the ceremony together.

There were red-carpet photos, plenty of laughs, nerves, excitement and, of course, a lot of hair and beauty professionals in one room.

Then came the moment we had been waiting for.

The official Certificate of Recognition names Marcia’s Looks as the Silver Winner for Best Beauty Salon, as voted by residents of the Orlando metropolitan area, awarded September 8, 2026.

Seeing our salon’s name on that certificate made the journey feel very real.

What Silver Means to Us

Of course, everyone loves gold.

But this Silver means something special to us.

We achieved this recognition while still being a young salon with less than two years of history at our Downtown Orlando location.

We weren’t measuring ourselves only against businesses our age. We were standing beside established salons from across the Orlando metropolitan area.

And our clients put us there.

That makes this recognition one of the most important milestones in the history of Marcia’s Looks so far.

The People Behind the Award

Every stylist, beauty professional, assistant and person behind Marcia’s Looks contributes something different to the experience our clients receive.

And behind our team are our clients.

Some have been with Marcia for years. Others discovered us after we opened Downtown. Some found us while searching for hair extensions in Orlando. Some came through recommendations, Google, Instagram or one of our educational events.

Every appointment, review, referral, tag, vote and recommendation helped us reach this moment.

This award belongs to all of us.

From Costa Rica to Downtown Orlando

Behind Marcia’s Looks is also a much longer personal journey.

Founder and Artistic Director Marcia RC brought approximately two decades of experience in the beauty industry into the creation of the Downtown Orlando salon.

What began as a passion for transforming hair developed into years of experience in extensions, color correction and beauty education—and eventually into the vision for Marcia’s Looks.

Opening a 3,604-square-foot salon in the heart of Orlando was already a major chapter.

Becoming an Orlando’s Best award winner less than two years later became another.

But neither is the final chapter.

Education Is Part of Our Future

Marcia’s Looks isn’t being built only around services.

Education is part of our identity.

Our salon includes a dedicated stage where we can host classes, workshops and professional events. We teach professional hair-extension techniques and continue developing educational opportunities for licensed professionals, cosmetology students and the next generation of beauty professionals.

For us, success isn’t only about building a successful salon.

It’s also about sharing what we’ve learned.

What’s Next?

Silver isn’t the finish line.

It’s confirmation that we’re moving in the right direction.

We will continue improving our techniques, expanding our education, developing our team, investing in new technology and services, and creating transformations that make people stop and ask:

“Who did your hair?”

And when they hear the answer, we want them to remember the name:

From opening our Downtown Orlando doors on November 24, 2024, to standing together at the Orlando’s Best Awards on September 8, 2026, this journey has moved incredibly fast.
